Testimonial for stay at Nulty’s cottages 7th – 12th April.
We have just returned from staying at Nulty’s cottages and were most impressed. The cottages themselves are lovely and set in the beautiful Irish countryside but only a short distance to Kilkenny by car ( 5 minutes by taxi at a cost of about 14 Euros). Jean cannot be more accommodating and had pre heated the cottage prior to our arrival, to ensure our comfort. She also supplied us with lots of useful information with regards to the surrounding area and couldn’t have been more helpful. I would recommend these cottages to anyone wishing to stay in the area. Reviewed February 27, 2012I have just returned from a fantastic stay in these lovely self catering cottages. The cottages were spotless on arrival with lovely fresh linen and towels for us all. The bedrooms were lovely and warm and the beds were really comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped and we had a lovely open fire to sit around in the evening.
The cottages are situated on a lovely picturesque farm only minutes away from Kilkenny city. John and Jean could not have been more helpful. They gave us loads of helpful tips on things to do and see in Kilkenny. Our group consisted of 25people,of all ages, and every member of the group had a fantastic time and thought the accommodation was perfect. I would highly recommend these cottages and look forward to returning again soon.

Thank you again for your message and kindness while we were in Ireland. We truly enjoyed our stay at your cottage and look forward to a return there. We were all very comfortable and your location is not only beautiful there; but also very close to the attractions of Kilkenny. I just want to say thank you so much for the lovely weekend my friends and I had in your cottages. They were absolutely brilliant. Everyone really enjoyed it! They were lovely and clean and very comfortable. Also they were in perfect distance from the city while still getting to enjoy the countryside. Hopefully I will have the chance to use them again in the future and without a shadow of a doubt I would recommend them to anyone going to Kilkenny.

Dear Jean and John,
Thank you both for your great hospitality over the Christmas period. The Lodge Cottage was perfect for the Bridal party and for the preparations the morning of the wedding. We will definitely be booking in again when my family come to stay later on this year. Not only did you provide us with a Christmas tree over the holiday period but you were so helpful and friendly during our stay, especially when we inadvertently locked the keys inside the house! The under floor heating and open fire kept the place toasty warm and made it feel like a home from home. The large open place kitchen and living room was large enough to entertain a family of ten and the bedrooms were kept warm despite the temperatures outside of -12! I will be recommending your holiday cottages to anyone staying in the area. Thank you also for your kind blessings. Our wedding day was everything we wanted and more. It really was a beautiful day and wonderful experience.

Hi Jean and John,
I just wanted to thank you both for your kind hospitality; we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage (The Stables) was fabulous and just perfect for what we needed. Plenty large enough for the 3 of us but would be fine if there were 4 adults and so cosy and warm during what must have been one of the wettest weeks you have seen this year! Having the horses and animals on site is an added bonus when children are part of the group so again thank you for introducing them to us. We are hoping to come back in the summer with more of the family…I’ll be in touch!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your little haven in the countryside. The appartment was spotlessly clean, cosy, very comfortable and had everything we needed for a wonderful relaxing holiday. I was very grateful for all your cheerful helpfulness in every aspect of our stay and we really appreciated the little touches that you extended towards us. Your hospitality goes above and beyond the call of duty! The location is divine – close enough to town and many attractions in the south of Ireland to drive there easily and far enough out of town to be tranquil and relaxing.

Hi Jean and John,
Everyone was very impressed and had a great time. The grandkids loved getting out and looking at the animals.
We have had the pleasure of staying at Nulty’s cottages and couldn’t ask for better! Sorry we missed you before we left. I was hoping to meet you and thank you for the wonderful accommodations. It is a great rural setting and you really are staying at a working farm surrounded by sheep, cattle and horses. The Lodge house was superb. Homely, clean and comfortable. well renovated and room enough for all 10 of us. Our 2 grand children thoroughly enjoyed their walks around the farm and even helped move a few cattle one evening. Everyone was very impressed and had a great time. Kilkenny is within 10 – 20 minutes drive. I would highly recommend a stay at Nulty’s cottages to all my friends and relatives! Once again thank you and maybe one day we will be back.

Sally-Ann Hoyne “” The area is lovely and quiet and the cottages are so comfortable. We stay in “The Stables” when we’re there. It’s wheelchair friendly and nice and light and warm. My husband is an avid bicycler and loves to ride around the farm and through Jennkinstown. The farm is only a stones throw from Kilkenny, so it’s easy for family to come out and visit or for us to go into the town. The second bedroom is always used by family or friends coming down from Dublin for an overnight visit. Kilkenny is so central in Ireland that it’s an easy place to venture out from as well: Waterford, Wexford, and Ennis. We’re planning a big family group holiday there for next year!

We have had the pleasure of staying several times at Nulty’s cottages and couldn’t ask for better! Apart from the gorgeous rural setting – you really are staying at a working farm surrounded by sheep, cattle and horses – the farm house was superb. Lovely and clean, comfortable, well renovated and room enough for all 6 of us. Our 4 children (ranging from 4 yrs to 12 yrs) thoroughly enjoyed the bushwalks by the beautiful river and the odd bit of fishing for tiddlers. Great shopping in Kilkenny, Kilkenny Castle, Dunmore caves (well worth a visit or two!) and we loved the Discovery Park in Castlecomer. Everything is within 10 – 20 minutes drive away – just ask Farmer John, he’s so helpful. Highly recommend a stay at Nulty’s!

Nultys cottages are situated on the castlecomer road about 10 mins drive out of kilkenny. All taxis will serve this area. The cottages are all tastefully decorated with Satellite TV. They are situated on a working organic farm. John Nulty and his daughter Alison are great people. I know them very well. You will be left for peace and quiet for the weekend and they are very helpful should you require any information. For an eight year old in Kilkenny there is the swimming pool, cinema, shopping and if he/she likes horse ridding Moloneys Riding school situated in Warrington on the Bennetsbridge road do horse riding lessons. It ‘s great fun. Alison will have more information for you. I am from Kilkenny myself, its a great city, lively with alot of class to it. I do hope you enjoy yourself and if you like the cottages let others know.
