You can now hire your own bicycle and take a tour around Kilkenny, Kilkenny Cycling Tours.   Kilkenny has a wide range of forest parks; there is something for every age group. Also Carlow is not too far away and there you will find a host of other things to do including great shopping, restaurants and a bowling alley.

Kilkenny city plays host to many festivals during the year. Why not time your visit to take in one of these: The Cat laughs comedy festival. The Rhythm & Roots festival, The long established Kilkenny Arts Festival, The Smithwicks Source festival, or the recently occurring Savour Kilkenny food festival
